Decision Making Around Suicide and Self Harm

Additions have been made to the Practice Centre to help guide decision making when working with children and young people who are self-harming or at risk of suicide.
A new Key Information has been developed which provides assistance to social workers when deciding how to work with a child or young person who presents with suicidal behaviour. The Engagement and Safety policy now also requires that this Key Information is referred to as and when appropriate:
